Stage Design

Stage design and costumes Thomas Björk, born 1966 in Sweden. Educated as an artist at the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen Denmark and Kunstakademiet in Trondheim. Several exhibitions as an artist in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and London. Thomas Björk has made several stage design and costume designs for Ingun Bjørnsgaard both for her own company, and for larger institutions like Komische Oper Berlin, Bremen Theater, Carte Blanche Bergen and for the first production at the new opera house in Oslo last year.
Stage designer Olav Myrtvedt graduated from The Danish School of Design and has worked for many years with Ingun Bjørnsgaard, designing scenery for “pli à pli”, “The Solitary Shame Announced by a piano” and “capricorn domestic”. He has also collaborated closely with notable theatre directors in Norway such as Alexander Mørk-Eidem and Kai Johnsen. He has created the stage design for a number of Jon Fosse’s world premiers.
